Marcello
Cabernet Franc aged in wood and bottle.
Marcello carries a direction that existed within the estate long before it was clearly defined. Working with Cabernet Franc did not come as a response to trend or demand, but as a decision shaped over time, carried through generations and realized only when the conditions allowed it.

Profile
The wine comes from a single position in western Istria, where long sun exposure, steady air flow and mineral soil allow the grapes to develop evenly and with control. The vine is not pushed toward excess, and harvest takes place only when the structure of the fruit reaches balance.
Ageing follows a long and uninterrupted sequence. The wine remains in wood for at least three years, gaining structure and depth without losing its own line, and then continues its development in bottle until complete stability. This time is not shortened. It is part of the wine.
The expression is calm and precise. Dark fruit and cherry remain present, but within a broader structure carrying notes of wood, cocoa and the mineral balance of the position. The tannins are firm and even, giving the wine length and control. Production remains limited and follows the character of the vintage.
